    Tom,
Thanks for the quick response! I guess I could also mix a track and then copy and paste attributes on the other track(s). I liked the idea I found in the manual of setting the loop playback and mixing one track after the other.

    Enzo,
Cancel my last reply… I was deselecting when I should have been selecting. When I was deselecting the Distort box under Remove Attributes, it meant nothing was removed. That’s what you said, but it took about an hour for my brain to come back online. So, in summary, when I open Remove Attributes and choose the attribute I want removed, magically, FCP removes it.

Anyway, thank you! I really appreciate the very fast help, and on the weekend no less! Now I can actually get back to the weekend work I was supposed to be doing 😉

    best regards,

hmmm… the only box available is the distort, the others are grayed out.

    Enzo,
Thank you for the fast response! I tried your suggestion, I deselect the distort button, click okay, but nothing changes. Then I go back into Remove Attributes again and the distort is still checked. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Vince,
Thank you! The Windows Media looks great! I ended up giving them MPEG1, MPEG2 and WMV. The Windows Media clips is surprising because it’s only 50MB/minute at 640×480 with good quality.

    I appreciate the input!

    Vince,
Right, 400MB, not GB…sorry for the brain fart! Can someone play a Divx clipo without downloading a Divx decoder? Thanks!

With PPRO 2, there’s an additional way that doesn’t require applying an effect. Select the clip in the Project window. Then go under Clip, Audio Options, Source Channel Mappings. There you can change the audio as you’re describing. The only caveat is that once you put this clip in a timeline, you can’t change the source channel mapping…but you can create a subclip of this same clip and then change mappings from there.

I’m also having this problem. I have used PPro 2 Media Encoder a fair amount in the last couple months without problems, but all of a sudden when I go to open it in PPro, PPro locks up. I’ve tried it with different projects, different media clips. I also did a complete reinstall of PPro, but still have the problem.

    Thanks for your response!

    [Aanarav Sareen]
Premiere Pro 2.0 no longer conforms audio.

Steven mentioned previously that 2.0 conforms audio, but only as needed. When I look at clips captured with XL1 footage, each one has a .cfa file. But none of the 14 tapes I shot with the PD150 have generated .cfa’s.

I do hear audio, which sounds clean, but performance is very sluggish.

16-bit, 48k, video is 29.97 miniDV. The audio sounds clean and consistent throughout 14 hours of footage.

I am fairly sure that audio conformed with no problem using the same footage in PPro 1.5, because I have a conformed audio file from this same footage and project that I captured before I upgraded. I’ve also tried capturing and recapturing footage from this camera in a completely new project with the same lack of audio conforming.

    thanks!
