Hello, I’m using Pro 2.0 and have a stereo soundtrack that recorded the sounds only on the left channel. Is there an effect or setting within premiere that will allow me to “move” the sound so it’s output is both the left and right channel? Thanks!

There sure is. It’s under your Audio Effects tab in the Stereo section and it’s called ‘Fill Left’. That will fill both channels with the audio on the left channel. If you only recorded the right channel, you would use ‘Fill Right’.

    Hope this helps,

With PPRO 2, there’s an additional way that doesn’t require applying an effect. Select the clip in the Project window. Then go under Clip, Audio Options, Source Channel Mappings. There you can change the audio as you’re describing. The only caveat is that once you put this clip in a timeline, you can’t change the source channel mapping…but you can create a subclip of this same clip and then change mappings from there.
