    Wesley

Pitch-shifting or any audio time change can only go by so much before it becomes distorted or doesn’t work.

For example many European films converted for US audiences are 4% faster than originally made. Most people can’t tell the difference but dialog is faster.

The more you increase or decrease the speed after a certain point, even pitch-shifters don’t work.

However instead of using a video editing program, try Audition, Pro Tools, etc as they have better ones built in.

If you want to spend the money, Izotope RX is great.

I’ve heard Apple is no longer supporting Firewire on newest OS updates. I would try Daniels idea. If that doesn’t work check if any of your friends has old OS and try that.

If no luck you can buy an analog to USB convertor to capture footage. Most cameras have analog as well as Firewire outputs.

    Dave

If you put the clips and audio in the timeline and link them when you click on the clip to add a marker it should add to both.

It concerns me you unlinked camera audio. Now you have no absolute sync for reference. If it were me, I would use Multicam to synch audio, using the external recorder as your main track. The camera audio will still be connected in case you need it.

March 19, 2021 at 5:26 pm in reply to: Premiere 2021 and nvidia GTX 275 can it work ok

    Hi Dave

It’s a drag when Adobe makes Premiere better but then requires newer hardware. I have a couple GPUs sitting in my closet for that reason.

However you can try those drivers and if they don’t work you can roll back to previous version.

I also suggest you join our Facebook group for Premiere users. You’ll get faster response and lots of pro members who can help you.

    Tell Kyle I suggested you!

    Hi Annie

I still have FCP7. Could you send just the project file so I can look at it?

Then if everything seems ok you can send a drive with all your sources.

    Hey Rick

I’m actually building a CD right now.

What I do is create separate tracks for each song, then import into a CD project. I don’t think Audition has easy way to do what you suggest.

However I watched a good Adobe video with Jason Levine on creating CDs.

Try that, let me know if you still have issues

I don’t know any way to do in Premiere.

I suggest looking for an image in one of the stock photo programs, but they won’t likely move along with your video.

Try one of these FB groups for Premiere. Perhaps someone there knows.

You can export an EDL – Edit Decision List

This is old school but still works. You get a text file with source reels, in/out points, if audio, video or both.

    Paula

Your jpg doesn’t show up. However go to the wrench icon on your program monitor and it will give you a list of options. One is Enable Captions. Not at my computer but if you can’t find it let me know and will send a screen grab

I’ve seen a number of editors who like BenQ line of monitors. Check out Adobe Premiere Pro Editors Facebook page as well as Ask an Editor
