Bad Prefs make sense.
As I was saying in my previous post I managed to get my hands on some other systems with PP installed and none of them are giving me the same issue.Would you be able to tell me which prefs I should delete and where they would be located on EL Capitan. I could also try Digital Rebellions Preference Manager to see if it will clear up this issue.

Yes this is correct. The Tape name is either derived from embedded metadata or if there is none then it should be the same as each clips filename. My suggestion would be to use the free version of DaVinci Resolve (12.5.6, 14 is in beta at the moment) to create your OP-Atom Proxies. I’m guessing your going to do the offline edit in 1920×1080 so use DNxHD 36 for your Proxies. If your going to do it at 2K or 4K then use DNxHR LB instead. The most important thing is setting up the Conform Options in the Master Project Settings. Heres a screen shot of how it should be setup so that the Reel/Tape Name Column will be properly populated to assure accurate relinking to your original media. This setting assumes that the original media does not have an embedded Reel/Tape Name. Give “Embedding in source clip file” a go first and if the reel column stays blank then set as per the screen shot.

I do have an update which leads me to wonder whats going on.
I managed to test the same file on three other systems with PP and none of them are having the same issue.I also recently picked up a couple of used 2014 MacBook Pros and PP doesn’t mess up the Track Allocations on them either.

Duke either these computers you are buying are pieces of crap or Windows 10 is even more useless than these computers.
I have yet to see a post from you where anything on your system ever works.
I am primarily a Mac Guy but I have a Hex Core i7 PC that I built myself with Windows 7 64 Bit and a 4gb GTX-680 and Adobe CC runs great on it. I primarily use it to offload tons of H.264 encodes with Media Encoder while I keep working on my other stuff on my Mac.It runs AME so well that when I found a killer deal on a GTX-980Ti on eBay I bought it and can’t wait for it to be delivered and install it.

Dave, suggesting PP is better for this is hardly helpful and also not true.
Now Terry do you know ahead of time where in the timeline the effects are going to be placed.
When the GFX come back I’m assuming that they have an Alpha channel and you are laying them on an upper video track in your timelines. If so why not use markers, label them and get the GFX Guys to name there clips the same as your markers are labeled. Also add sequential numbers to each label so everyone knows what order they are supposed to go in.I may have more suggestions but I need more info about your overall process.

Actually I think the Backup Button just backed up the card to a hard drive in exactly the same structure as the CF Card had.
There’s one of the other options that will do what you want but there was definitely one that combined the card into one giant clip which is totally useless. You will find one of the four options if there are still four in the latest version that will do what you need.
Unfortunately you will now have twice as much HD Space used but as I said I think XF Utility is the only App that recognizes the spanned clips properly.

You need to have Canon XF Utility combine the spanned clips because Avid does not recognize them as being spanned.
If I remember correctly XF Utility is the only App that recognizes the Spanned clips properly.
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve last used it but the older version I used at the time had two quirks that you need to look out for.First since they are likely not on the cards anymore so you may have to access the folder with the media sort if indirectly if that makes any sense. Second the nice Backup button in the top left corner used to combine all of the clips on a card into one clip even it they weren’t spanned and the original TC was lost and became irrelevant. You will notice that the clips will be labeled something like AA005301, AA005302, AA005303 etc. depending on how many times the camera split a clip. Once XF Utility has combined all the spanned clips it will truncate the last two digits of the the filename and you will end up with a file named AA0053 as an example.
As I say it’s quite awhile since I’ve used it and I don’t currently have access to any C300 media to test the new version of XF Utility for you. I remember that there were about four different ways to get the media off the cards but only one pulled the media off properly wether spanned or not and retained the proper original TC.

This may not help but update to 8.8.5.

Just as a test take you previous timeline and duplicate it.
Open the duplicate, select all and delete everything in its timeline.
Now open the latest sequence, select all and do a copy.
Go back to the empty sequence and do a paste.Now try and export from there to see if the Audio is fine or not.
