Looks like I solve the issue.
I completely uninstalled MC, I then trashed all of the Avid Preferences in my USERS/xxxx/Library Folder. Lastly I deleted all the Avid Folders in the Applications Folder and the USERS/Shared Folder and then reinstalled MC. Everything seems to be working fine inside of the 23.976 Project even after I imported my user settings. Thanks for your help.

August 18, 2017 at 4:40 am in reply to: Why is Premiere messing up the Audio Track AllocationsHey Peter anymore suggestions.
I’ve deleted all the preferences that I can find, uninstalled and reinstalled PP as well as ran Digital Rebellions Preference Manager and nothing has fixed the problem. This is my main system and I have to have it working properly ASAP. This problem is so stupid it makes me wonder why I’m forced by clients to use PP.
I can’t stand working on my Laptop and there’s a big project coming up that I really need my main system working for.

You are very welcome and I appreciate the Thank You.
One more tip, I refuse to use QT-10 and always install QT-7 on my systems.
It works fine and still takes my old license code so I even have QT-7 Pro.
It’s way to useful a utility and should have never been discontinued.
I’ve installed it on Lion all the way up to Sierra with no issues.
Once installed you won’t find it in the Applications Folder it will reside in the Utilities Folder on the newer OS’s.Here’s the link for the installer.

I wonder if there’s somewhere on Creative Cow that I could post this for all to see?
I think it’s ridiculous that these Codecs are not automatically installed with OS X.
I’d like more people to know how to install the codecs and that QT-7 still works on OS X.\”MY MEDIA/PROJECT MOTO: If you think three copies of your media or project are enough.

August 16, 2017 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Unable to relink back to Hi rez with Canon XF MediaMany people have issues with spanned clips from the C300.
The solution is to run the clips through XF Utility first and have it combine the spanned clips into single clips. You will notice that XF Utility will truncated the last two digits in the file name when it offloads them.
If they no longer exist on the cards XF Utility can be a bit quirky about how you access its media.I learnt the hard way once and have never ever used C300 media since unless I pass it through XF Utility.
Solved any and every issue that I had the first time.\”MY MEDIA/PROJECT MOTO: If you think three copies of your media or project are enough.

I install the Apple Codecs all the time on systems without any of Apples Pro Software and it works great.
Just download this Installer from Apple and use Pacifist from Charles Soft to Install them.
Drag the Installer Package to Pacifist and it will open it up, then select the top the top level in the listing and click Install.
When you click on Install you will be asked for you Administrator Password and when it asks if you want to overwrite files just click no.https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1898?locale=en_US

August 10, 2017 at 9:58 pm in reply to: Why is Premiere messing up the Audio Track AllocationsI removed all my preferences and that didn’t work so I did a full uninstall and when it asked if I wanted to keep my preferences I said no and let the uninstaller delete all of them.
I’m really PO’d now because it still hasn’t fixed the problem.
Damn Premiere is a piece of crap.
Guess I will do all of this with Avid like I’ve done in the past.
I was hoping to capitalize on the speed of AME for exporting after doing these stupidly simple edits.\”MY MEDIA/PROJECT MOTO: If you think three copies of your media or project are enough.

August 10, 2017 at 2:02 am in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureI have a long standing case with Nvidia about this problem and I bug there asses about it once every two to three months. Seems they know about this CUDA issue and really don’t give a damn about it. I pretty much get the same canned reply every time. “It’s in the Que and may never be resolved”
I have found a couple of things that did make a bit of a difference. I sent one of my cards into MacVidCards to get Mac Firmware on it which helped a bit but definitely didn’t solve it.
Now here’s where it gets weird, after a ton of research I found out that the Asus Monitors I was using have this problem on pretty much any Nvidia GTX Video Card that exists wether on Mac’s or PC’s. After getting nowhere with Asus for Firmware Updates I switched out my monitors and all the glitches are gone. I unfortunately still run into the same hard crashes now and then with AME and on a more regular basis with DaVinci Resolve though. It really P.O.s me that my cheaper Asus Monitors are fine but the expensive ones glitch. One more note about this, if I use Display port to DVI or HDMI Adapters (both active or passive) the glitches are far more severe than just using the DVI and HDMI Ports.
To stop Resolve from crashing when I have really large, long Transcodes to do; I do a complete system shut down first. Once I’m up and running again I start the transcode and make sure I do absolutely nothing else on that system. I have found that even Web Browsers, especially Safari cause these crashes to happen far more often while either AME or Resolve are Transcoding.
