You’ve answered your own question. You have a different lens, maybe a lens protective glass? All of this changes the look. It’s all about the lens baby!

I’d rather go prepared. If you don’t know the place you are going, you would be risking the entire job.

  • You can find used Sony EX-1’s for around $3000. They are great cameras for live concerts.

That’s why I don’t use Sennheiser. I’ve used Sony UWF wireless sytems for years and I’ve never had interference.

I even shot a big conference with over 20 wireless systems with no problems.

I went through wedj.com. You sign up for their website listing and then you get a discount on insurance. This is still cheaper than most other policy’s out there.

I’m not sure on the t3i. If you have a standard video camera, it would make life easier for this type of setup. You need to find the display settings in camera.

You can also get a cheap switcher at radio shack if needed that will allow you to plug in 2 cameras and manually switch between cameras. The switcher will be plugged into the projector.

Why 720p? Keep it high quality for the edit. 1920 x 1080 24p, uncheck interlace scaling or deinterlace.

    ProRes HQ 1080 24p setting
