This is a liitle off topic. I just had a demo from Panasonic. The guy actually had a P2 card broken open. Guess what……..? It had 2 SD cards inside of it. What an amazing rip off. I wish someone would crack open the SxS card to see what’s inside.

I have CS3 and it just makes the settings automatically for you when you select DVD. I always make an image first.

In the BluRay mode you have 2 choices for encoding.

I’ve actually been burning BluRay’s with CS3 on my Mac since it first came out.

I can feel your frustration. It sounds like you are creating your own Graphics material to show on a DVD. You mentioned no source footage. I’m a little confused there. What are you actually going to show on the DVD?

If you create graphics, make the size 1920 x 1080 for HD or widescreen format.

Your source footage needs to be widescreen format 16:9. It doesn’t have to be HD. HD & SD doesn’t matter as long as the footage shot or graphics created are made the correct size.

Otherwise your 4:3 standard will not fill the screen.

Yes, I always use a BD-RE first to check my projects.

  • Make sure you check the box on the lower left that says “Erase Re-Writable Disc” first.
