  • I use Primera’s Bravo II disc Publisher. It’s a robotic system that allows you to duplicate & print up to 50 discs. They have many other systems on their website. https://www.primera.com

Also check out discmakers.com They also have systems.

It definitely is worth the extra money, saving you time. Sometimes I run it right before going to bed, so it’s all done when I wake up.

Why not just use the file and transfer plugin for final cut? You don’t need to use compressor or Streamclip anymore.

The plugin is available for a free download on Canon’s site.

Always, always, copy the entire folder. If you use Final Cut, you’ll need the extra data to transfer the footage. Otherwise it may not read your video files and you’ll have to spend more time transcoding.

Take some practice video with different ISO settings and write them down. Shoot in different lighting situations so you’ll be able to replicate the results.

You should be practicing and learning your equipment, BEFORE you go on the job.

Do you want a dolly or a slider? You can buy sliders for under $500 to give you that dolly look.

I have a Mac Pro and an HP. I’m very happy with both. It seems if you go with the i7 quad or 8 core, with most off the shelf configurations, you don’t have to spend a ton of money anymore to get performance. You can upgrade the graphics card and max out the memory and your good to go.

Glidecam and slider is also a nice addition to your kit as well as proper lighting equipment.
