You’ll need a graphite pole to keep the weight down.

Here is one with the cable inside. If you do this alot, you need to invest in quality equipment. I don’t have experience with a boom pole, but here is one I was looking at for a future project.

Glad your safe…but it’s always cool to look back and know you had a shot to remember. Make sure you activate advertisement on your YouTube video so you can cash in on the viral video.

  • Sounds like you have your hands full. I’m not much help except to repeat the previous post. Always ask your colorist what they prefer and it’ll make life easier.

Yes, it’s worth it. The low light capabilities, head phone jack, and audio controls are enough to convince me. You can crank up the ISO to 7,000 with no noise.

    Here’s a test shoot. vimeo.com/38897047

Try transcoding the footage to an earlier version or whatever Vegas supports.

These cameras suffer from an issue known as Moire. You’ll get this when shooting something with straight lines like fencing, blinds, bricks, etc.

The Mark III is supposed to have improved performance on this issue.

Do you have a Sony SxS card that you also use? If not, I’d invest in one. This will problem solve one final issue, your connectors.

If the Sony card has the same issues, it may be you have a bad connection where the cards plug in too. It’s worth the extra cash to have piece of mind.

Also, make sure your cameras have all the firmware updates.

Sorry, I’ve never heard of, or have had this issue.

Unplugg the DJ lights and the blue goes away : )

Not much you can do. I try to tell them to turn off the blue lights during the father/ daughter dance and speeches.
