Plural eyes is not perfect. Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to tweak the sync, but at lease it gets it close enough and saves you time scrubbing through long audio files.

Nope, since most of my storage is archival. I would rather purchase the extra hard drives. The amount of file size would probably be cost prohibitive since cost is largely limiting to gigs.

It is nice to have your files in another location in case of fire.

I’m not sure if it will work with Final Cut 7. That’s why I didn’t upgrade. I may be wrong, but you might want to read specs.

Is the audio file in the same folder you re-synched with your project? If not, you may have choose the individual files…..maybe….I don’t use Avid.

    Yes, Joel’s solution is ideal.

But, you still need 3 lav mic’s. I think your best bet if you don’t have the gear, is to rent. You probably have other videographer’s in your area that would rent you gear too.

If they are sitting at a table, you can also use two medium shotgun mic’s on a table stand in a Y pattern.

3 Lav’s would be ideal if you know you’ll only have 3 speakers at a time. Just be prepared for a surprise guest appearance. That’s where a table shotgun can save the day.

YOU can also run the 3 lav’s into a field recorder. There are many inexpensive field recorders in the $500 – $1,000 range.

  • Adobe usually posts specs on their site. You might want to go fishing to find the info.

I would have to say that you have disgnosed your problem. It depends on the speed of your drive and connection.

Try copying the files to your computer and then re-synch the files.

What are your settings when exporting. If you are exporting sequence settings, you may already have the wrong sequence settings to start. Customize your export settings to make sure you have the quality.

Pushing the H.264 files can cause problems too.
