Yep, it works fine after each successive uninstall and reinstall, but then won’t boot the next time up.

So, I gave up and uninstalled to reinstall version 1.2.2, but it tells me there’s nothing to install!

Sure would be nice to be able to use my KONA2 … SOON!

Nope, the reinsallation only worked for the first resart. When I came in today to boot up it gave me the same black bar w/ blue stripes over the apple logo.

    Hey Francois,

To start in safe mode hold Command-Shift while starting up (before the chime) and hold it down for awhile. Your system should (very slowly) start now.

Yeah, everything including Quicktime were the very latest and running stable before installation from a cold boot. If anyone else encounters this, try restarting in safe mode and installing the Kona 2 2.0 installer a second time and again click Restart when prompted. For whatever reason this worked for me.

Careful, I installed the Kona2 update and it hosed my system!

The only conflict that I had was with the HDLink, but I’ve told before that this is normal. The firware had already been updated to the latest.

On Apple startup logo there is a line of black with a couple of sets of vertical blue lines. Command-Option-O-F and Command-Option-S won’t work.

This is on a dual 2.7 w/ the very latest revision of Tiger.

This is the main reason to upgrade to 5.1 (beside the Intel compatability) according to HDForIndies.

I know others are using this combo, so does anyone else have advice for how to increase the contrast of the Dell monitor when in DVI mode??

I’ll definitely take advantage of Shift-Z, but I don’t think I like using Z since it switches modes. I’d like if pressing Z just zoomed in a level when pressed. I’ll stick with Option- and Option+ mapped to my mouse wheel, and Shift-Z for zoom extents all.

Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do.

Thanks everyone for the responses, very helpful and it’s good to know different variations for the same function.

I purchased a LaCie triple interface 250g about 4 months ago. I’ve used it only half a dozen times and now it gets no power. The power supply has a light, but I’ve heard that even then it could be that the power supply needs to be higher watts. Either that or the firewire board burnt out.
