Probably it will.
Latest versions of Color retain TC and Reelname in the renders.
(Reelname was not there in old versions)Only Reelname and TC is used with FCPrelink.
So it ‘should’ work.Try it (the demo will be just fine) and contact me direct if you run into trouble, we’ll make it work if it does not do it now.

There are a zillion of title generators that can import images as backgrounds, and are used for live applications.
If you have any switcher that can do the key, it should also allow you to key in / out, so you don’t need more than one screen.
I can make you something custom if you like, if it is as simple as you describe, it should not take more than a couple of hours.

If you have shot 24 (or 23.976), you might try this:

But also here, you need to set the codec as Job described.
Good thing is, this thing creates Avid MXF so you don’t even have a fast import, you just use the MediaTool to drag your clips in a bin.

Are you on Snow Leopard?
(Gamma should be a bit more consistent, although i have no idea if that works in your case as well, but worth a try)Otherwise, no information is lost, and since it’s going to be graded anyways, it is not much work for the graders to redo the gamma (if needed)
It would be worse if you have to output from FCP what you get back from the graders and it does not match there…
