I suggest exploring the electronic help system that is installed with RED. It contains descriptions of all major UI elements, Preferences, Timeline, Control Window etc. and it is full-search enabled. Additional training resourced include Boris TV’s RED page:

Text-based tutorials

Free past webinar replays:

and finally a RED 4 training DVD.

Hope this helps.

Dear Glass Onion,
We have fixed the problem which you are describing and we are preparing an update. Please note that this problem is new in Vegas 11, we are not seeing it in Vegas 10 and no one reported it before Vegas 11 was released. The problem is specific to interlaced projects. Again, sorry for inconvenience. Please keep an eye on our news next week.

January 22, 2012 at 11:50 am in reply to: Good God!! Are you ever going to release Red for CS5.5 Mac?!?Unfortunately, I do not have a good news yet. We were hoping to post an update this week but discovered another last minute show stopper. The project is on the front burner. Thanks for your patience and sorry for another delay.

Dear Glass Onion,
For the record, your case is logged in our support database and the problem is reproduced and being worked on. The fix is slated for the next update of RED for windows platform. You should have received an official notification from our Support team with your Support Case Number. (Please see if for some reason that notification was spam-filtered in your email).
I sincerely apologize for inconvenience.

Best Christmas present! Lucky you. All I can tell is that it is in Beta now. And we have announced a Vegas webinar in February where we plan to show it.

January 16, 2012 at 4:33 pm in reply to: Good God!! Are you ever going to release Red for CS5.5 Mac?!?Dear Cliff,
Please accept my apology for a delay in public release of 64 bit Mac Premiere support. I’m sure you’ve heard from our beta team that we’ve made a great progress and the release is imminent, perhaps as early as next week. I regret that you and perhaps other customers are affected by the delay but rest assured that our team is doing everything possible to bring the product to market. I will update this thread as soon as the release is posted on our web site.
Thanks for your understanding,

I need a little more information. Do you use AE motion tracker or do you use BCC Witness Protection built-in tracker? Which version of BCC are you on? What is your goal in exporting the motion tracker data? Are you planning to import it in to another application or to another BCC filter with built-in motion tracker?
BTW, from the text of your error message I’m guessing that you did complete the tracking step in BCC.

December 13, 2011 at 1:59 pm in reply to: Boris RED Not Updating Sources while in TimelineOK, now it’s a bit more clear, we’ll have to try to reproduce it with MPeg 2 clips.

– Do you plan to include the new BCC8 in RED5?
Yes, most likely with the next major update
– When will it be possible to import audio file in RED (windows OS)?
Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit, standalone or plugin?
– Do you have a solution for VP11 user when we loose the source footage when scrolling on RED timeline?
We have to investigate the problem, can you help us to reproduce it?
