Timetable for Boris Show Stopping Bug!
Posted by Glass Onion on January 22, 2012 at 3:20 amThis is really taking way too long. There has been something like 5 updates to Boris and none of them address the glaring FIELD ORDER problem. How much longer do we have to wait to use a program that never worked with Vegas at all? Can we have a specific time of at least the month?
At least stop falsely advertising on the Boris site that it works with Vegas when it NEVER has. This way no one else gets duped into buying something that NEVER worked at all. Give us a timetable so we can get our heads around this GLARING OVERSIGHT!

January 22, 2012 at 11:54 amDear Glass Onion,
We have fixed the problem which you are describing and we are preparing an update. Please note that this problem is new in Vegas 11, we are not seeing it in Vegas 10 and no one reported it before Vegas 11 was released. The problem is specific to interlaced projects. Again, sorry for inconvenience. Please keep an eye on our news next week.

January 22, 2012 at 11:57 pmHi Boris, I have Vegas Pro version 10e and absolutely DO see this problem. It is definitely not new and 100% repeatable. In fact, it is absolutely unavoidable and appears in both 32 and 64 bit version on both Vista and Windows 7.
If you wish to send me a pre-released version, I would be willing to test it for you. I would be very disappointed if this fix did not address the identical issue in version 10e, as Vegas Pro 11 is too unstable for me to make the upgrade at this time

January 23, 2012 at 6:28 amHi Boris
As an Edius 6.06 user (experienced) and a broadcast editor for a national television network, I was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good publication on Boris Red (I just purchased 5.09 for Edius). I am particularly interested in the setup procedures and a little more detail would be good. The enclosed documentation is a little light on with detail. Preferences and Interface descriptions would be good.
Love your software BTW.Grass Valley Edius 6.06

January 23, 2012 at 11:31 amI suggest exploring the electronic help system that is installed with RED. It contains descriptions of all major UI elements, Preferences, Timeline, Control Window etc. and it is full-search enabled. Additional training resourced include Boris TV’s RED page:
https://www.borisfx.com/videos/RED/
Text-based tutorials
https://www.borisfx.com/tutorials/RED.php
Free past webinar replays:
https://www.borisfx.com/webinar/
and finally a RED 4 training DVD.

Hope this helps.
