When you apply Boris Graffiti filter and enter custom UI, do you see a track called Background? That’s where host video should be. The media choice for that track should be V1. All this is set up by default when you enter custom UI

October 29, 2011 at 1:52 pm in reply to: I need a straight up or down answer…Does Boris RED install as a plugin for Vegas 10?While we are working on releasing next version of Graffiti I encourage everyone to consider crossgrading to RED 5 which includes every single feature of Graffiti and more. Even saved Graffiti presets are compatible with Boris RED. As far as text is concerned, there is no difference between the two products. And RED 5 is fully 64 bit compatible with Vegas 10 and 11. Please give it a try:
And keep in mind that while Graffiti is not available in 64 bit we are running a very attractive crossgrade to RE5 for just $295 as our way of saying sorry for the wait. Once you tried RED you’ll never want to go back to Graffiti.
Hope this helps,

Actually, there is no need to wait. Boris RED 5 fully supports Vegas 11 64 bit today. Boris RED, as you may know, includes all features of Graffiti and FX plus some. We are currently running a promotional crossgrade for just $295 – less than it would cost your to upgrade Graffiti and FX separately. If you liked Graffiti you’ll enjoy RED 5 even more.
Hope this helps.

October 28, 2011 at 10:38 am in reply to: Avid -> AE via AAF failing on 50% of ClipsScott,
With something like this you need to contact our tech support, send a sample of your clip and AAF project. 888-77-BORIS
Out of curiosity, do these clips load and playback in AE on their own? You mention “every other clip” which implies there may be a difference in clip formats.

October 11, 2011 at 8:03 am in reply to: Cant se Final Effects in Adobe Premiere PRO CS5/5.5Sorry to hear that you got no response. Perhaps email got lost in a spam filter. First, let me say that you should not need to move plugins around your hard drive. The installer does that for you. But be sure that you got correct installer: CS4 and CS3 installer is different from CS5. If all fails call our support at 888-77-BORIS.

I’m assuming that you are using Boris RED product in a standalone mode and not as a plug-in. The result sounds a bit odd. Perhaps you can call our support lines at 888-77-BORIS.

Graffiti is essentially a subset of RED focusing on text creation features. It has all tools necessary for 2D and 3D text animations but it does not include other compositing and filtering options. Combined with Boris FX, Graffiti will be roughly equivalent to RED minus a few options. For more detailed comparison of RED/FX/Graffiti product please see this product feature matrix:

thanks for sharing your experience. We’ll look into the workflow you described and see what can be done to link separate audio file with video. In the meantime, I wonder if you could still use the audio from your camera recording, perhaps changing the Score popup to a lower threshold?
As far as transcribing the speech, Soundbite was not designed to do that.
