I use C300/100 footage every day for last couple years. Never had a problem using the Canon plugin. Just popped over to the Canon download page, and I see there’s a (much) newer import plugin available (as of 6/26/14). If you just downloaded, perhaps a bug in the new version? Maybe Canon can send you an old version to test.

I was surprised to see the lead Avid has… did UK broadcast never make much of a switch to Legacy, or did they quickly return to Avid post-Legacy?

I’ve always thought a star wipe works better than a dissolve in most cases, anyway.
But if you’ve got the change, a lap dissolve is fun, too.

This probably doesn’t count for Tim, but I recently did one **very** small project in PPro. Like a day’s worth. Felt like I was back to using a flip phone after being on a smartphone for years. Just too retro. Stone knives and bearskins.
OK, that was maybe a touch of hyperbole, but really, it did feel like stepping back in time.

It’s called tilt-shift usually. There’s at least one plugin for it, or as Gary sez, lenses as well. Love the show, BTW.
