Well, the “used” tag will be there if it’s in any of your open timelines, then you could search that TL for the clip name.

I find that grabbing them by the balls is the easiest way to wrestle ’em to the ground.

It’s gotta be the future…. all three crew are clones.

wonder if they’re on OT after 3.33 hours?

Have you looked at their (fairly new) cine primes? I’ve been A/B’ing them against the Zeiss CPs, and they look at least as good (in my half-blind, uncalibrated, possibly inebriated opinion).

As a ditto to what Tony said, I’ll say that I’m pretty “over” cameras. Going out of style faster than the latest internet cat meme.

These days the thought of some cine EF glass gets me goin’. Like the new Canon cine servo-optional 17-120, 4K spec’d…. mmmmm…… $32K well spent….

Love the Cion, but WHY didn’t they put an ND wheel on the thing?? Some days I can’t count the number of times during a shoot that I cycle thru ND. Now someone has to go find the ND pouches, carefully slide out the old, put in the new, confirm that’s just right, carefully put the ND pouches back, and now we can continue. Instead of… click/click done.

Really, I’m interested in the “why not” of this.

[Scott Witthaus] “It’s a great time to be in this business.”

    Amen, brother!

Going back a few…. Quantel Henry was $800,000 (just the box). Editbox was $400,000. Avid was… $150,000 (? memory). All of the above, add a few hundred K for decks, etc.

Now? It’s all about the skills. Use what works. And then debate about it here during renders, of course. ;P

Been using the 2 drive 8TB G-Raid for about 6 months, and it’s excellent. No complaints.

Don’t forget to prune out unneeded proxy & render files once a project is finalized. Lots of room to be saved there.

  • Oops. Maybe I should read the WHOLE post. Assumed you were talking ’bout exports.

  • In Compressor advanced settings, enable additional Compressor instances. Apple has a table of recommended settings somewhere on the innerweb. I’d guess your machine will be 3 or 4 instances. My 6 core/32GB uses 2 instances.
