You need permission to shoot on their property, period. You can shoot what you want on public access but be careful what you shoot. IF IT IS TO BE BROADCASTed you need permission from that store or person if it (they) can be recognized. Still the best is to get an okay (in writing) from “them”.

Thanks so much for Eric. After more than 800 posts, I was bummed to have to change my name.

AUDACITY works great! Just have a few extra steps to convert the final file to an Aif for FCP. No real big deal considering the price.

    Thanks again for the tip.

The only thing I had to do was replace the system software via carbon clone because I needed to go from QT 7.0.3 to 6.5.2. But it was just this week that I noticed the lousy captured video. I really haven’t changed anything though. I am wondering if the card could be failing.

[Bob Cole] “More to the point for documentaries, what about incidental music playing on a jukebox or radio, in the background of an interview? “

I recall directing live sporting events where the National Anthem is played. I always had to structure my break to cover most of the playing. Since we did not have rights to broadcast the theme, we could only show a small portion of it. Usually I came back from commercial with the last 15 sec left of the song.

In the sleep setting, I know one shouldn’t set the hard drive to sleep but how about the Monitors?
