Check CS5 Premiere Pro System requirements from above link.Our Dell system is T5500 2.27 GHz XEON Quad Core Workstation 64 bit ,yours is slightly more powerfull and it may have hyper-threading which will be better.But, as I said before it is the limitation of 4GB Microsoft Limitation with a 32 bit CS4, CS5 is 64 bit and should work better on your set up. There are a lot of free tutorials in ADOBE TV Forum which will help you running Premiere Pro.

I do not believe this is a Raid Configuration issue, if you are trying to edit more than 4GB high definition video on the timeline on a CS4 32 bit piece of software it may freeze(as I believe the Microsoft limitation is 4GB, try working or say 5 x 5 second clips at a time and render, you must render if you are processing H.264 mov or AVCHD clips 1920 x 1080. You may be advised to change the codec using the Adobe Media Encoder to a more manageable codec like Cineform or Microsoft AVI. These are not highly compressed and you will manage editing on the timeline and it will not freeze.

We still use Premiere Pro 1.5.1 which is 5 years older than CS4 and there are no issues> Projects Exported to Pro Tape or Movie or Blu-Ray are broadcast quality.May you have success #############

Ps. I only have a Raid 0 on two 600GB drives as per CS5 Requirements, it may not be enough but, it works. What codec is your videocamera working in ?

If you are a business or consultant ask for service for Dell Precision when you phone in Sydney Australia 1300662087 between 9am and 4pm otherwise you will get Kuala Lumpa in Malaysia, if you have a 3 year warranty they may send a Dell tech out to fix the problem. They configured Raid 0 for me on two drives and it is to CS5 Premiere Pro requirements and it works fine. good luck !CS4 is only a 32 bit application you may be better going to CS5 with Adobe Raid configuration if you want to run the latest codecs, AVCHD and H.264 mov etc in a faster operation ?

Try a good quality DVD and click on SHARE the DVD and Blu Ray box should open, I presume you have edited your video project on the timeline ?

Buy the best you can afford with a warranty, anything from $50 to $100, if it does not work take it back . We use a $50-$100 Belkin for connection from a Canon HV20 to a Sony bravia Full HD 1920 x 1080i the imagary is better (much) than the cheap $25 ones?

I agree with William, we video with a Canon 5D Mark II as well as a Canon HV20 , even a Panasonic 3CCD tape unit and the video via HDMI and Tape & blu-ray @ H.264 and mpeg-2 cannot be faulted , equivalent to broadcast quality 1080i or 720P on a Sony bravia 46″ Full HD TV. All this in excess of 25 MBps, the 5D is at 38.5 Mbps but, reduced to Tape at 25 MBps

CS4 just does not cut it with H.264 clips and needs a 64 bit application such as CS5, it will work with the 32 bit software but, under 4GB at a time ?

If you have Premiere Elements 4 or above , it will convert H.264MOV files to Microsoft avi Uncompressed and or Cineform Intermediate . The file or timeline can be Exported to Movie and then Imported into Premiere Pro 1.5.1, 2.0 or above. We have been using this convoluted method since using the Canon 5D mark II some 15 months ago , and it works perfectly. Adobe products seem to talk to each other better than generic converters ?
We have done 100’s Export to Tape via HDMI to a Sony Bravia Full HD TV 1920 x 1080 i, and DVD and Blu-ray, H264 or mpeg -2 this way equivalent to broadcast PAL quality. CS5 PP should do this in one step if used with a QuadCore 64 bit i7 system and a Nvidia Quadro Fx 3800

You could use the shadow/highlights and manually adjust in either Photoshop or Premiere Pro ? Shooting into sun directly with digital not a good idea , may effect CMOS sensor?
