If you go to the Sequence drop down menu and un-check Selection Follows Playhead, you should be good to go.

Justin is correct, they have removed a function that I found to be VERY useful.
PP CC 2014 can still read the metadata so if you have a copy of PP CS6 on your system, you can do the analyze audio function, then when you import the files into PP CC 2014, it will read the metadata.
I hope they bring this function back, I doubt if I’m the only one out there that gets handed hours of interview footage and needs to find soundbites that have been selected from transcriptions.

Thanks for the info Alex, that looks like a great product!
I just restored Premiere & Media Encoder CS from a system backup and that will get me by until CS stops working. I routinely get 8 plus hours of dialogue and have to find soundbytes buried in the middle of it without any time code reference so the analyze content function has been my best friend.

Thank’s for the info Robert.
This is not good for our workflow, I found it to be a huge time saver.

September 28, 2012 at 10:58 am in reply to: Whats a white seamless background technique for this?Hi Jonas,
Another option would be the roto brush tool in After Effects. As long as you are putting the subject overd a similar background, any rough edges will disappear. If you’re not familiar with it, just google AE roto tool and you’ll find a bunch of tutorials. It’s very simple to use and would probably work great against the white background.

Petros,
You might be wise to wait until CS6 is released to see if the Premiere/AJA performance issues are addressed before equipping your suites with AJA hardware.
AJA timelines are very sluggish compared to the native timelines in Premiere, also the source monitor doesn’t play out on your external monitor and the AJA setup in Premiere preferences is very unintuitive. These problems are unlike AJA and I assume they are working to resolve them.

I agree with Alan. If you want good, fast and cheap animated charts Keynote is the way to go.

You might have a corrupt project file, a quick check would be to create a new project and see if the media imports and plays in the new project.
