I have seen the same sinse V4.5. I find that if I select the control point in the filter control panel and HOLD the mouse button down while draging the control point is helpful.

  • The camera was a rental beyond that I don

  • Thanks for the info. While I look forward to renting this camera I have not used it yet, I have only used footage shot on it. I think you might have hit on just why things seemed gray. Sometimes people set up cameras just by eye, disregarding any technical measurement or feedback, I think that

What is flash video, and how does it differ from QT?

  • I recently read somewhere that Graeme Nattress was involved with a new video camera called RED yet his head was still on the top of the P2 page, a competing product. I was going to mention this extremely disquieting conflict but I notice it is now gone. Bravo to Mr. Nattress and the Cow!

I always learn from what Graeme posts, on what ever topic, and I look forward to more valuable posts on what ever forum he chooses to post on. He has always impressed me as honest and forthcoming not to mention well mannered and reasonable, now, he has proved this with what seems like a stepping down from being a forum leader because of his involvement with a competing product.

Forums like this are easy picking for conflicts and playfulness that borders on criminal, if honesty is a measure. As a frequent visitor to the Cow such attention to these kinds of details makes the visits and the information that much more valuable, thanks for going beyond just letting it fly no matter who or what.

I hope this is not seen as anti Graeme, he knows a lot more then I will ever know on many topics, he is the Ocean I am a sponge, his stepping down speaks volumes about him as a person, all positive.

April 21, 2006 at 9:14 pm in reply to: Question for Jan about Competition

First off, this person (Jan) is paid to talk about her products not any other companies products. Secondly this red thing is not real yet, how can anyone talk about an unreal product against a real product. The HVX200 was not real until they installed the final software and delivered the thing.

I am already bored to death regarding this red thing. Its like an ocean of PR splattered across us all. OF COURSE there is an iPod sales PR thing on this camera, what I want to know is where is the blog and the cell phone downloadable commercial?

If these guys are smart they will not make a camera that will go directly against the giants, just one that has the right compromises for the right nitch market. Judging from some items which seem to be facts about this non product they have not gone in that direction.

A PL mount means Zeiss lenses. If this camera is sold at a substantial discount to the top Sony and Panasonic HD cameras who is going to drop $13,000 for one Zeiss prime lens or $60,000 on a zoom? I guess everyone will have to rent. Last I looked you can
