Finally asking this question
For years I have gravitated towards the animatte and 3dwarp, but I have not figured out how to do a 3dwarp on top of a 3dwarp and not mess with the video underneath.
If I want to promote text to 3d and do moves on it the effect grabs the video underneath and moves it too, how do I get out of this problem. This also happens from time to time when I try two or more layers of 3dwarp.

i think you have to double click on your clip, so it expands, and put next the effect into it, and that way it wont effect the clips underneath it.

If I understand the question then hold alt whilst dropping on your effect as opposed to adding a n extra vision track.
