    Cornerstone Productions LLC.

  • Thank you Ole appreciate that !!!

  • Thanks JR… Humbled.. I’m sure that has a lot to do with it ! Hee hee. You always seem to get to the bottom of things in a timely manner….. But if you will, and while I have you on the phone, what is the best file format to render my Canon HF G-40 .mts files for editing in Vegas??

  • Thanks John, will certainly take this into consideration,(did I mention that Vegas Pro 11 is buggy!!)
Gotcha’… I think we have gotten this resolved by changing the GPU settings in properties, as someone else suggested. Think I’ll hold out for Vegas Pro 14 version.. this looks promising from what I have read. BTW Yes I do have the latest version of Vegas Pro 11. However I will try starting any new project in Vegas Pro and then open the bad project in another instance and etc…… also a trial version of Vegas Pro 13. Your input is always appreciated thank you and Blessings.

  • Jean-Pierre I have been trying unsuccessfully to capture HDMI footage from the Magewell, In fact since the first one back to the factory in China, I’ve tried several applications for Capture but no luck at all,So I came across your post and decided to capture with Sony Vegas Pro capture DV, I set the project properties to 1080 x 720 And saw in the capture That it recognized the Magewell in the video tab,Good so Far right? So I clicked the captured button.. I saw a slight glitch in the capture window and thought it was going to work, however it’s just a black screen with no audio either, then I noticed in the video tab above was grayed out and not allowing me to Select the Magewell Again.
I Once again went back into project properties,And reset to 1080 x 720,Started the capture procedure once more…
Same thing happened video Grayed out etc.Bummer… Any thoughts on this ??? thank you for your input.

Thank you gentlemen for your responses, will take some time to review this, and try the procedures. I do see where the the existing technology limits me to 4.7 GB on a single layer DVD. I can always go to dual layer or flash drive to output fo this specific project, Thanks again. If there’s anything else I need to know…. let me know!

January 4, 2016 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Magewell XL 100 D HDMI Capture to Sony Vegas 12 ??

Good morning and thank you for your responses, my “auto notify” must settings must not be set correctly, thank you for taking the time to look at this situation, after all was said and done I received an email from Magewell support in China, after downloading their capture software and doing some diagnostic testing, they/we concluded the unit is defective.
Must say thier support team is very responsive to customers, they sent an RMA # and I will be sending this back to China.
Then we will try this again…. With hopefully better results I’m sure, thanks again guys! Creative Cow is my “go to” troubleshooter… Happy New Year to you and your families!
