“Create Video Proxy” Option not appearing when right clicking on clip in Project Media
Good morning, I have been “all over the map” trying to find out why Create Video Proxy option is “not appearing” on the drop down when I right click clips in the Project Media Bin, I have Sony Vegas 11.
FYI I have converted original raw footage MTS files to WMV HD files with Pavtube video converter. Then import these in to the project. Again, I right click on the clips in the “project media”drop-down appears but doesn’t give me create video proxy option, I don’t even see it available…. Am my missing some preset settings ??
Thank you…. always look forward to your responses.

I believe that creating video proxy files in the Project Media window for optimized editing and playback was a feature introduced in Vegas Pro 12.0. Which is why you don’t see it in Vegas Pro 11.

Thanks JR… Humbled.. I’m sure that has a lot to do with it ! Hee hee. You always seem to get to the bottom of things in a timely manner….. But if you will, and while I have you on the phone, what is the best file format to render my Canon HF G-40 .mts files for editing in Vegas??

[Ole Kristiansen] “Sony MXF 4:2:2 50Mbit”

    +1

Sony MXF HD422 is an awesome format for not only editing, but delivering the final product for broadcast.
