I settled with On2 Flix Pro for my G5 10.4.11 machine. It’s clean and fast and has a good Cue point interface

December 29, 2009 at 8:21 am in reply to: What are the options for shipping XDCAM footage…Sorry, the client has a PC …no Final Cut.
PS But if he did… bring all the footage into the time-line and burn to disk? Seems a lot of work, no? -
Daniel, does Episode have cue pts? I can’t find any documentation on them…

Episode from Telestream huh? OK… Just called them and it should work with Mac 10.4 (good news)
Thanks Daniel -
Yeah, I was wondering if I might make Quicktime first…

March 16, 2009 at 3:32 am in reply to: Need Isolation Headphones. Recommendations Please.“Comes out different every time.” Wow was that nice. Such a full-bodied, rich sounding guitar.
I should add that I need headphones that are small, light weight, durable, isolation type headphones.
These will take a physical pounding.
Sound quality not a major issue (just faithful to interview voice).
Isolation need not be extreme but very good.
Should be small, so they are easy to carry around (wilderness packing).
If anything else comes to mind, please let me know.
$100 range is fine.
Thanks

iMovie would recognize the camera (z1u) but not the deck. I tried this in various start-up situations. iMovie would find the Z1u no matter when I hooked it up, but never the deck.
“About This Mac” would only say “Unknown Device”. The deck settings were correct (I’ll add A/V> Off to your list).
… Called Sony They had me reset the deck, via a pin hole under deck “hold down for 2 seconds”.
They agreed that it sounded like the Firewire port. So, for better or worse, I’ve already mailed it to Texas… 7-10 days. Still under warranty.
Thanks for your effort Jerry really appreciate your time. Now, I hope it was the Firewire Port.
I see your in to fishing? I should pay you to catch me some Halibut. My favorite filet. Brought back 2 boxes from Alaska several years ago. I was in Friday Fish Fry Heaven for a couple months.
Thanks
