    Hi,
I need an excellent quality encoder for an Mac G5 10.4
Can anyone give me a recommendation?

I’ve tried On2 Flix Pro and got decent results, but think it can be cleaner.
The xdcam footage typically has lots of pans with complex (trees forest branches) backgrounds. Seems a tall order to compress super clean.

The work flow is XDCAM – FCP – Compressor (current settings) – Then resize, to flash player dimensions 640×360 in compressor w/ ProRes – Then to some really good encoder for flash or h264 for Streaming
    Thanks!

Episode from Telestream is the choice for Mac.

I settled with On2 Flix Pro for my G5 10.4.11 machine. It’s clean and fast and has a good Cue point interface
