Adobe stuff… Premiere Pro CC 2015 etc. and even my old FCP7 XDACM import seems to work with them too. I’ve just started using the X180. I guess it’s the same as the X160 but with WiFi

Don’t know what kip or vic is…

A test I ran showed the XAVC 1080P L GOP, 50mb/sp was better in detail, higher resolution than the MPEGHD 422 setting. Example was outside, grass, showed better detail.

Regarding a new Mac Pro, is there any feel as to a sweet spot? I see a refurbished: 3.0GHz 8-Core, 32GB, 1TB Flash, Dual FirePro D700 6GB – $6,199.00
I use PP, After Effects, Photoshop, encoding, uploading…. (DSLR, XDcam, Gopro… soon 4K) I need to drive a z27 Dreamcolor and 2 other 27 monitors.

I’m not only looking for more CPU, but also:
GPU: K5000 (10bit)
Adding 4, 8GB mem. sticks, for total of 40GB Ram
SSD: 960GB Mercury Accelsior
3.0 USB

I want to drive a z27x Dream Color, plus two other 27” monitors

Current Mac Pro system: Mid 2010, 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 16GB Mem, ATI Radeon HD 5870.

David, Sorry if I’m not following, but I currently have a 12 core(?)

That was an epic elk adventure. That camera guy DID almost get smashed by that bull!
XA20 quality looks pretty good. Smooth tones.. a soft but crisp look… Not harsh.

If I’m switching to Premiere Pro AND getting a new computer, is there any reason to stay with mac pro?
I have years of edited projects from the current mac pro that I will need to open from time to time. Will a PC running premiere have trouble opening projects made on a mac pro? (I think this uses XML file)
