IMX30 is I-frame only true CBR, no GOP. The MXF standard for dutch television is based on the SMPTE 386M specs.

FCP handles it with full realtime capabilities.

Hi Veronica, if you are not responsible for messing up the card structure then it shouldn’t be you paying for this. 😉

I am not aware of this issue with our solution. We are just working on the FCP export plug-in that will be an addition to our QT exporter and we currently test all this very comprehensively. The audio routing in FCP works like expected.

What happens if you import the exported MXF file with our free Import demo (reads the first 30 seconds of MXF)?

    We encountered the same issue.
As an Apple Final Cut Studio Solutions Partner we completely documented and reported it. We are under NDA so I can’t share more about this part but we have a solution that already works today with all current releases of Color. You might understand that we can only share this with customers since high quality support is part of our high quality product.

I doubt you will notice more problems when you keep working with this system.

my old drive was OS 10.4.11, and when I got the computer back from Apple it had 10.5.5

It sounds the 10.4. restore on your 10.5 system messed some things up.

You should install the entire system from scratch. Initialize the hard disk when installing the new system so all old data gets deleted.

Are those MXFs AVC-Intra clips? In this case you also need the AVC-I decoder from Panasonic.

    Hi Kara,

you see the “MXF4QT Import.component” file? That’s from us, maybe you downloaded the free demo. If not maybe you have a full version that has expired because it was not activated.

You can send me the file and I will check this out for you.

    Thanks
    Bjoern
