thanks for your response. i’ve been told that exporting my project as an XML is probably the best way to go, although others say that a TGA (targa) is preferable.

any thoughts?

i followed your advice, but the image on the resulting DVD has a weird diamond/moire pattern. it’s not so bad as to be outrageous, but it’s definitely noticeable.

i’ve never encountered this kind of thing before. can anyone help?

maybe it’s my FCP sequence settings? again, i shot with the hvx200. my sequence settings are: frame size = HD (960×720) (16:9), pixel aspect ratio = 960×720, anamorphic 16:9 unchecked, editing timebase = 23.98, quicktime video settings compressor = DVCPRO HD 720p60, quality = 100%.

i actually already did try doing what you recommended … i.e., choosing the folder one level above the CONTENTS folder, and not the CONTENTS folder itself. still no dice.

and yes, there is a LASTCLIP.txt file paired with each CONTENTS folder.

any idea what’s wrong here? i even tried renaming the folder containing the CONTENTS folder, on the theory that spaces or weird characters could be throwing off the import function. but i still get the same error message – “probablein complete or corrupt clips,” etc.

actually, i figured out the problem — it turns out that that transfer was corrupt, and the identical (non-corrupt) contents are in another folder.

but now i have a different problem. now i can’t import any P2 files into final cut at all! when i select the appropriate folder, final cut loads the files into the import window — i can see icons and media start/end times — but when i click on “import,” i get an error message saying that the import failed due to “probable incomplete or corrupt clips.”

can anyone help? i’m using FCP 5.0.
