Interesting, not sure if CRI is appropriate for LEDs, in fact it is fairly lacking generally from what I can gather, it, for example, only tests for relatively low saturations.
Have you tried doing any real world comparisons against incandescent?

It works well. The phantom power thing is a bit of a red herring, it sounds like a good idea but phantom power flatters batteries very fast (seem to remember having to use more than on in a morning, without phantom power the batteries last days). The main issues are not having level meters (Green light flashes when you have got a reasonable signal and goes read when you peek) and there is no limeter. As the level leds are crude a limeter is even more useful. If you have the money I would go for the Pro version.
The other question is do you really need XLR balanced inputs, if not the DXA-SLR MINI is a great option (5 segment level indicator and limiter).
Let me know what the rest of the kit is and budget and I will have a think.

Lastly who is using the camera, if ti is for general use the NX30, or even an alternative camcorder is a much better option.

Thanks for replying. I am using the lite version so can only use one GPU. I notice that the officially supported ones are the 4GB versions. How important is the extra memory, I can get a 2GB one fairly cheaply.
Currently I am learning CC/Resolve but just did a 40 minute doc (unpaid) and it was a great experience, turned out looking good, director very happy (just been brought several pints at our local pub by him).
I have come across the Avid Codec, that was my play (or prores).

A few months ago I went to a talk from a Arri guy, it was very interesting (an not just trying to push there kit). The simple answer is use good LEDs/Flow or stick to tungston.
He has a spectrometer (I think that is what it is called) and showed the spectrum different types of light produced. Florescent and LED both have two VERRY pronounced spikes (they are massive) and tungsten has a nice curve (I think the spikes were green and yellow).
He also have some split screen video showing tungston, Ari LED and two other LED packs (I think the the 2 were chap hong kong ones and lightpanels), there were white balanced but no other correction.
The tungston and Arri LED both looked good and very similar. The other two were on nearly as nice (the colours looked slightly wrong).
LED (and Flows) both work by using the main light source (I think it looks blue) whitch exites phosphorescent material (which is the light you are seeing. Cheap lights only use a few so get spikes. More expensive ones use a lot more different phosphoruses (lots of research to work out exactly what is needed) so have less gaps in the spectrum.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond to me. Not to much of any colour Was my reference to using Vectoscape, sorry, not very profesional language;).
Should I always ensure there is nothing above 1000 on the resolve Waveform monitor?
Are there any books/articles you can point me to describing how I should ensure my grading is ‘legal’/broadcast safe.

I realise it is not on by default, the bit that really throughout me was
I am trying to work out what the practical difference is between ‘On’ and ‘To backup project’. Can I use both to retreve a project if resolve crashes.
Also if I just turn it on how often does it save. Or are they both set by the drop-down?

Thanks for that, so basically you are saying there is no simple way to get resolve to output broadcast safe video. From my understanding Broadcast safe is where white levels are a max of 1000 (100%), and there is not too much of any given colour.
Does the ‘Normally scaled legal video’ help at all with this, should I use it?
So I guess the best bet (apart from grading properly) is to use the Broadcast safe filter in the NLE (i.e. FCP 7)?
Just to clarify the main output for this project is DVD, although it is being shown on a big screen in Bristol (UK). The later may not be particularly relevant as we are talking a very large not massively high quality screen. Broadcast safe seemed a good way to go is it should be ‘safe’ for most things.

I also hear good things about the Display Pro, if you read the site its what x-rite recumbend for video (over other one).
