I think the nVidia GeForce 8800 GT is one of the rare cards that is actually supported by apple, but cant see to find it anywhere in the UK. Basically if you want FCPX try to but it and if you can it is supported.

“For now, I recommend the GH2 over the 60D in every respect, even if you have Canon lenses. You can adapt the Canon lenses to work on the GH2, and they’ll look beautiful.”.
Rock on;).

June 29, 2011 at 9:25 am in reply to: Info about Sony Alpha for ‘Rough Guide to DSLR video’ also Panasonic Lumix.Wow. The GH2 really seems to kick the shit out of the 60D. Apart from the shallow depth of field (which I know is a biggie) I guess the GH2 comes close to the 5DMkII in terms of low light performance. So we are saying the GH2 is a lot better than the GH1. Coupled with the lack of max record time limit, I am seriously thinking of trading in my 550D. Is there an adapter to use Canon Glass?
In terms of sound although Jason indicates he is ‘happy’ with the sound I would imagine that the internal pre-amps need to be turned right down and an external Jucelink/Betchbox would have to be used if you were doing high end/broadcast.
Is it possible to monitor audio?
does the GH2 now have everything that is needed without needing hacked firmware? From what I can gather there is currently none for the GH2.
Any other reviews would be good.

Ben

Thanks for that, will get them to have a look at motion (I am fairly sure it was done in FCP Editor but will check). It was shot on a 550D so there is not much choice of codec. Would be interested in any lighting tips. I think one of the problems was it is a very small studio and the person is too near the background.
What I really meant was that I know the editing needs work, there are lots of things I really don’t like (i.e. all the cross dissolves).

The final video is at

(I know the keying is not the only issue but would like to focus on this, I can advise on the rest).
