I forgot to add this is happening on brand new and “old” recently re-installed OS and FCP Machines

(when I say new I mean like 3 weeks new, this is what is causing my frustration!)

    Thanks for the input!

Never seen it as well. We’ve updated to 5.1.4 as well. Here’s oure specs:

MacPro 3 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon
    8GB 667 MHz DDR@ RAM
    OSX 10.4.9
    Final Cut Suite 5.1.4

glad to see this is not just an isolated issue. I’ll let you know if the problem returns

I would if the problem occured again. I ended up offlineing everything and then reconnecting. Now, I have no problems. Weird. If it happens again I’ll post somthing.
    Thanks for the response

Yes, I have read these posts and others like them on other forums.

Anyone else experience anything different with this 5.1.3 update?

I am aware of all this but isn’t a full render included into the export of a QT? The even weirder thing is that the exported QT has these funky shifts in text.

    Thanks for all your input

I am previewing on a NTSC monitor and EVERYTHING is rendered. This is why I have turned to you all. I’m totally stumped. The exported QT is no different I still have text/graphic shifts. I’ve nested the graphic/test lower third with no luck. Could this be a problem with the .psd file. I’ve tried several different .psd files with th same issue though. Weird.

    Sooooo,
The reason I couldn’t re-digitize this avi footage is because of time. (we’re talking hours and hours of stuff) I also didn’t mention that the procoder software that we have on this modded PC can’t be accessed becuase the PCI Express slot decided to die on the motherboard, therefore I don’t have a working video card and can’t even “see” my computer.
I’m buying a mid=range dell and installing Procoder 2.0 and transfering everything to QT. Then I will take the PC and use it as a sled when it starts snowing.
Thanks to everyone who helped out!
