Be aware that these LUT’s are now for V1 of the LogC.
ARRI has updated their color science to V3 and will release the final firmware 14 Feb.
Shoots done with V3 will need different LUT’s, that counts for the LogC and for RAW.
I got a promise for new ones to be out soon too. Background:
V1 was the colorscience of the D21 camera. When you apply the LUT you will see a tendency to get oversatured REC 709, the same counts for the camera output in REC709.
V3 is specially developed for the Alexa and will give (even)better colors.Resolve system:

Well luckily, I decide what to shoot 🙂 Only Alexa for me now until I have done a proper test with the Epic.
Obviously when shooting RED I use RED tools too for checks (R3Dmanager and RCX) but I always have a DIT who does the main job.
As DOP I concentrate on looks, lighting levels etc. It’s nice to have my own machine to work with and I usually ask the DIT to copy everything to my personal HD or I grab the card from the camera. For RED I have a very fast Expresscard reader to read the CF cards. Not sure how it will go with the new SSD units.Resolve system:

Bob, I was under the impression that the D21 was 12 bit and the Alexa 14 bit internally. That’s why a 12 bit log RAW signal was created to keep all data in the signal for the Alexa.

Jeff, all of them are in the menu -> Session -> Presets
Except when you are still on a very early version 7.0.

You will have to move that shiny little stainless steal bar, just above your motherboard.
You can push it to the left. There is a knob or handle somewhere to do it more elegant but usuallly I just push it a bit and pull the card in one go.
(The plastic clip was only on the older models.)Resolve system:

Hi Nick, you don’t get the monitor output but for demo’s it works fine on a machine with a single 4800 quadro and they had a fiber connection to a SAN. But, as I wrote, they ordered a separate machine for Resolve now.
