I went to a posthouse and installed it on their Smoke/Mac, gave them a demo and my dongle for a few days and they ordered it right away 🙂

What do you mean with ‘trying’?
Properway is to put it in de Davinci /LUT /ARRI folder, go to the config page in Resolve, click update LUTS and set it there for the whole project or go to the color tab and add it to a node.
THe REC709 version of ARRI is indeed very saturated but do you use the latest ones I have on my site? (Previous ones where not really good)https://redtalk.nl/en/download/cat_view/19-resolve
Make sure you match the LUT to the camera ISO setting. The LUT you describe should be used for a 160ISO/ASA recording.

Not sure about the 2009 version but shouldn’t your REDrocket be in Slot 4 to get at least 4 lanes?

To answer the question:
At the moment Resolve only can use the preset folders but BM found it a valid request and will work on it.
Let the updates begin 🙂

That’s called hijacking someones thread…..
Anyway the answer is yes you can do a ‘global’ LUT fromt the config screen/LUT TAB and you can right click a node in the color tab to add a LUT to a shot.

Thanks! Had to dig up a trackball with middle button but it works.
Hopefully the upcoming hot-key list will contain a shortcut for pen users like me. 🙂 -
Good to know, thanks.
Now I should not forget this setting when I render out…..
Might be nice to see this setting somewhere in the export/render screen as a reminder. -
Thanks for the answer, good to know what the guideline is but I would love to hear the technical background so I can understand what is going on. (both with the two videocards and the RR).
ALso did not get an answer if/how the RR settings effect the final renders.
