I found that adding LUT’s to Resolve is a but strange.

When I go to App Support/Davinci/LUT/ I can add a LUT in one of the existing folder like ARRI. Then it will show up in the config after an ‘update lists’.

But when I add a new folder to the LUT folder, it does not recognize it, nor when I add a subfolder to an existing one.

Would be nice if I could keep my LUTs organized in separate folders that get recognized by the system…

    Resolve system:
    MacPro 8 core 2010 – 16B memory
9TB harddisk (1 system disk, 8TB in software raid 0 for data)
    Nvidea GTX285
    Nvidea GT120
    Blackmagic SDI Decklink
    RedRocketcard.

Also running it on a MacBook Pro 17″ (5.2)

    That’s called hijacking someones thread…..

Anyway the answer is yes you can do a ‘global’ LUT fromt the config screen/LUT TAB and you can right click a node in the color tab to add a LUT to a shot.

    To answer the question:

At the moment Resolve only can use the preset folders but BM found it a valid request and will work on it.

    Let the updates begin 🙂
