Done film too long I guess.Resolve system:

Would this change effect the image/quality? Where would we notice it?
(I’m asking because I have TC session tomorrow on Resolve and might need to ask for this update if it helps my material.)

I second the request.
The problem is bigger because for using the rocket in RCX for Epic you need to update drivers and firmware and then it is no longer recognized in Resolve so we can’r use the rocket at all even non RED one MX shoots.Resolve system:

Just in case you got the RAW job, there is also a new ARRI RAW converter (ARC) on the ARRIdigital website.
https://arridigital.com/technical/imaging-technology/arriraw/imageconverterNow for Mac and Windows.
It’s a simple (but slow) way to get to DPX.
Most of the devices I used, (Codex and S.TWO) can also directly create DPX files so for security I would ask the production to give you both .ARI and DPX if you are in a hurry.I did not see any ETA from BM for Resolve yet.

Just had confirmation that the ARRI RAW SDK V3 has been released and shipped to partners, including Blackmagic. I hope we can see the results here soon.
For now we have to bring a bit of nuance to the statement:
Resolve supports ARRI RAW…….Yes it supports ARRI RAW from the D21 but not yet from V3 Alexa material.
(and that’s unofficial)🙂

Thanks Robbie, but I was involved in the process of testing the LUTs before it went online. I know a bit about it 🙂
Apparently you haven’t seen an .ARI file in Resolve. It is seriously of the scale.. (Talking Alexa RAW, not D21)

Thanks Dan, that is information that helped.
Still I get a serious green image and very low saturation, something I don’t see corrected with the controls or a simple LUT.
Is the latest color V3 setting/processing in?
(It does grab the metadata correctly.)Besides my questions I would like to congratulate BM for this incredible quick support for new technologies.
Hat off!Bastiaan

Just did some test with the new V3 LUT’s and they work well. A bit less saturated REC709 but thats a matter of taste and easy to set.
I will not be posting them on my site because the ARRI website with LUT generator will be up in the next few days.

Use the V1 LUT’s with all current footage.
When V3 is out, use V3 LUTS for shots that are than with V3 firmware, older footage will still need the matching V1/V2 LUT’s.All credits for creating them go to the ARRI team. I have just been testing them and giving feedback. Since they are updating their pages and there was no place yet for the LUT’s they are posted on my site (with permission from ARRI).
The plan is (and it was live for a while) that you go on the ARRI site, choose your device and the LUT’s will be created on the fly.
V3 LUT’s will be out shortly after the release of V3 firmware but I have no files or fixed date yet.
Will post here when they are out.Resolve system:
