Is your source footage widescreen? It sounds like your Premiere project is 4×3.

If you want to stay widescreen, make sure you work in a widescreen project in Premiere.

Well, like you said, it’s faster, but depending on the project you lose quality.

For some projects OpenGL render is good enough, but in some cases it just doesn’t cut it.

Nevertheless it’s nice to have the option to render in OpenGL, if you need to turn out a fast preview.

Actually, it does on Windows. You can capture in AE through Premiere Pro’s capture application – if you have Premiere Pro installed.

You can’t limit the effect of an adjustment layer. It will affect all the layers below.

You can however precompose a layer, and set the ‘continuous rasterize’ switch to keep the blend modes.

Since it’s 10-bit, it could be a Blackmagic codec. You can download them at https://www.decklink.com/support/software/

But you should probably ask the client about his system first.

Magic Bullet was the only functional problem that I noticed during beta. Red Giant is aware, and are working on a fix.

You could probably render from AE using Quicktime DV NTSC.”

True… but I didn’t want to complicate things too much 🙂 And if he wants to export to DVD, you’d be able to avoid the extra step of DV compression.

You can applyt the tracking data to a solid or a null, and then use an expression to link the emitter position to the null position.

Export single shots from FCP to Quicktime Animation @ 100%, import to AE, do your compositing and export to QT Anim 100% again, and import into FCP for final output.
