We’ve got a Mackie Onyx mixer connected, and Vegas doesn’t play back when the project settings are 44.1 Khz and the Onyx is set on 48 Khz. Conflicting sample rates. When I change one of them it plays again. Maybe you’ve got something similar going on?

    Good luck,

I’m sure Excalibur is a powerful tool, but I think I will be able to perform the following steps in one day, which you decribe as “entire process” 🙂

Right-click in the track header – duplicate track.
    Right-click track 1 – channels – left only.
    Right-click track 2 – channels – right only.

    Thanks,

It does require some concentration and patience to understand DVDA2, but the more I know the more I love it, and I look forward to upgrading to DVDA3.

    Good luck,

Now, that’s one of the reasons they invented the audio compressors. It took me quite some time to figure those out, but they’re very useful.

“As an old audio guy I like to keep my levels near the max.”

85% Max? 100% is maximum. Your lady isn’t complaining? Anyway, right click on an audio track > switches > normalize. Real time, quite nice.
