NO PLAYBACK ON TIMELINE
I am a new user of vegas I may have set somthing wrong on the timeline and cannot playback any clips I can right click and drag the scrubber across the timeline see the clip but when i press play nothing can anyone help

This sounds unusual – so, if you position the cursor over an event and hit the space bar, nothing happens?
Make sure you’re not creating a small looped region by dragging the timeline.
Sounds like you may need to reinstal. Do you get playback elsewhere in Vegas, e.g. by clicking the play button in Vegas Explorer or Media Pool, or by right clicking and selecting Open in Trimmer then using play button or space bar?

We’ve got a Mackie Onyx mixer connected, and Vegas doesn’t play back when the project settings are 44.1 Khz and the Onyx is set on 48 Khz. Conflicting sample rates. When I change one of them it plays again. Maybe you’ve got something similar going on?

Sorry for not getting back sooner all is OK now I was following a Training video which said to disable 1394 network card which I did this caused my playback problem as it played OK when I turned on the 1393 network card

You might want to disable the 1394 network connection, but not the actual device.
