I don’t know of an automatic way, but if you have a fare amount of clips in your timeline you could do it manually. Right clic the clip in the timeline and select replace with clip from project. Is going to take forever I you have 50+ clips but if is worth it, at least is something.

Discs are no longer a good option. Even when I had them I will just make a digital copy of it and put the cd on a shelf. You can save the installer on a hard drive and it has been proved that the future of software distribution, if not the present, is going to be download.
Now, if you travel and need a back up just in case your windows dies that’s another problem.
Maybe in the future computers will be more healthy, and die less. LolAxel Arzola

That’s totally true. Right now they have an offer an I could get the Production Suite (which is all I need) for double the cost of a year of creative cloud. I think is better to own the copy instead of a subscription is the difference is acceptable.
Thanks for the input.Axel Arzola

In Pr you don’t need to render your timeline before exporting. The render is just used for previz purpose.
The bar on top of the time indicator on the timeline can be used to select an specific part of the timeline and render only that.
Sometimes a way to fix render issues is to select Delete all render files. This way if something went wrong Pr just start the rendering with new files and it can help with this kind of weird render issues. Ex. You render but it still playing slow or the effects are not acting how they are supposed to.Hope this is helpful.

How infinite do you need it to be? Just asking because I think you will be better off going and shooting a really long walking clip and then problem solved, to at least it might be easier to find more matchable frames.
I’m sorry if this does not helps at all, maybe if I knew more about the specific effect you are trying to achieve and the overall idea.Axel Arzola

Do the cartoon face animation first in a composition, then drag that comp to where you have your character and make it follow the tracker just like you did before.
You can link t a tracker almost anything, even parameters of effects and some crazy good ways of get what you want.Good luck learning AE, is really a beautiful piece of soft…magic

November 26, 2012 at 12:57 am in reply to: How to duplicate single frame area of clone tool onto other frames?I don’t think I understood the question completely but I usually do the first and the last frame of the roto mask. After that the middle and keep doing it that way because the keyframe will be smart enough to move your mask path or roto brush.
By doing this you save a lot of time and get AE to do some work for you.I hope that helps.

I had the similar problem, and going after the processes that CS5 used to do the dynamic link I discovered that the middle process was not running on 64 bit.
When I changed to CS6 the DL is working way better, but still not like we want it too.I think that we need to keep in mind that is not that simple to send from a timeline to a comp, and have everything running smooth like rain. I also think that the hard drive speeds might have something to do with it.
It would be awesome to find where the bottle neck is because there is no more general hardware upgrades that I can think of to solve this.Nice post Mr Arco.

I used to have a similar iMac and editing 1080p 5D footage was painful. Just add more RAM, and you will really see the difference. Ram is not that expensive, if you are willing o spend 2k on a cam better make sure that you can handle that footage later.
Here is some iMac ram https://www.amazon.com/16GB-RAM-Memory-Apple-iMac/dp/B003D0OPNC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353871393&sr=8-2&keywords=imac+16gb+ram
It also depends on the type of videos you’ll produce. Before buying just try to get some footage from somebody else and try it out in your iMac.
And another tip: Think about the glass you are buying too, it will make a big difference in the quality of your pictures, but You will definitely love your 5D.
