Rendering entire work area does not work

The sliding bar above the timeline helps select your work area. Adjust as needed.

“Render entire work area” does just that, it doesn’t render the entire timeline.

I hope I’m not misinterpreting you, if I am then it may be worth posting a screenshot.

In Pr you don’t need to render your timeline before exporting. The render is just used for previz purpose.
The bar on top of the time indicator on the timeline can be used to select an specific part of the timeline and render only that.
Sometimes a way to fix render issues is to select Delete all render files. This way if something went wrong Pr just start the rendering with new files and it can help with this kind of weird render issues. Ex. You render but it still playing slow or the effects are not acting how they are supposed to.

I now realize I was rendering in places where it really was not necessary and my PC is quick enough not to need any preview files to speed up things.
