So I am guessing the logo is on a track over a white background on a different track? If so nest the logo on the background into a sequence and then apply a transition. Be sure to have handles.

The digital heaven calculator is nice and easy to use. You can also download a few calculators for iPhone or iPod touch that are really nice if that is an option for you.

You can do both. If you can find a write on filter in FCP, apply it to the text then animate the layer in the ‘motion’ tab. This effect can also be easily created in live type or Motion, which will actually render better text then the FCP text engine, IMHO.

Try trashing prefs and running permissions from Disk Utility. If still a problem open an autosave project and see if that helps.

I agree. It seems that the tech is getting to a point to where it not leveling out, but solidifying I guess. New tech is being focused on making everything play nice together enough to take advantage of all the resorces. With the format war over I think the ideas of the future of video are becoming less speculative. I can’t wait to see what FCP studio 3 will entail.

Check out editing Red in FCP using the red proxies. The medium proxy is 720p I believe. You should be able to find all the necessary work flows on Red’s site.
