You have green lines in the video track. Are you sure that all of your footage is 23.98? I suspect that some of your footage is 29.97.
What format is your footage? how did you remove pulldown to get it to be 23.98?

If it’s recorded to tape as log, you capture it as log and do your log to lin conversion afterwards. Exactly how to do that depends on what software you’re working with and what you intend to do with it.

Then you need to re-encode the video with the titles in it. The only way to “embed” is to embed them in the picture.

This is called “Rotoscoping”.
You will need to draw a matte to cut the foreground out of the background and adjust it for every frame. If you Google “Rotoscope” you’ll find some tutorials and software to help you.
Silhouette Roto would be the best app for this, BTW.

That’s right. You should think of it as an investment. You’ve presumably invested $1200 in FC Studio, and maybe another couple of grand in a Mac, spending $40-50 now to learn how to use that previous investment is nothing.

A faster drive array will provide the most obvious benefit to RT playback (and it will open you up to larger frame sizes & less compressed codecs).
But all of the critical subsystems of CPU/GPU/memory/drive system are of equal importance in the end.

If the cost of a $40 book is restrictive, how do you plan to buy hard drives, stock music & footage, tape stock, or even lunch, for that matter?
There are a lot of free tutorials online at applemotion.net. And there are some tutorials on your FC Studio install disks.

But I assume that these systems will only work well with compressed codecs?
IOW, you’re not going to get 10 bit 4:2:2 1080 to play over ethernet, but you should be able to do so with DVCPro HD, ProRes, DNX HD or Photo-JPEG.
