Absolutely. The only way you’ll be able to match the slowed down lips to the normal speed music is to have them lip-synch to an over cranked music track.

Out of curiosity, what are the old & new names?
Several years ago, while I was a still photographer, I decided to start calling myself “Arniepix”. Not long after that I gave up the photography business because I still couldn’t make a decent living after 7 or 8 years of it. When I decided to take up editing a couple of years later, I dusted off the Arniepix name for that business. BTW, after only 4 years, I’m finally headed up towards the middle class.

Uncompressed 720P on a powerbook? No. On a desktop, yes.
The problem is that with a powerbook, you’re limited to using FW drives, which don’t have enough bandwidth for uncompressed 720P. To work uncompressed, you’d need to work with a SCSI, Fiber Channel or SATA array.
OTOH, if you have the footage captured in it’s native DVC Pro HD codec, you might be able to cut the footage on a powerbook.

Hyphens are OK. I use them all the time in lieu of slashes. Stay away from commas, asterisks, ampersands, quotes & apostrophes.
How full is the drive?

You don’t have any slashes (/) or other illegal characters in the file names, do you? Is the drive full? Assuming you’ve eliminated those, then I’d boot from an OS X startup CD & run the disk tools, followed by Disk Warrior.

Short of a pad & pencil, no.
No offense, but I think that most, if not all, of the answers to your questions about using markers in FCP over the last few days are in the FCP manuals.
