720 should be 1280X720. Your motion comp should have the same dimensions. Your output may have different dimensions, depending on codec. Motion will scale the ouput properly in most cases.

You need to open it up in Photoshop and resize it to 1280X720 or 1920X1080, depending on whether you’re working at 720 or 1080. If you’re making a lot of stills, then export all of your stills to a single folder, make a Photoshop Action to resize them, and run the action on that folder.

Sorry, that’s the way that sequence markers work. Do a search on this forum for “sequence marker” and you’ll get some more information & some possible work arounds. Go back around 12 months or so.

If you work in an anamorphic timeline, there’s no scaling needed for the titles. And if you then make an online from that timeline, the titles should scale properly on their own. I’d still make a quick pass to double check, of course!

The 2 most important secrets to know about multi-cam:
1- After you edit your multiclip into the timeline, set the ganging to “Open” and select the viewer. That will play the multi camera layout out over your broadcast monitor.
2- Everyone seems to get confused about the difference between “switch” an “cut”. Switch will simply switch the active angle without making any edit in the timeline, so your active angle will change from wherever your last edit point was. Cut will make the cut & switch it.
What kind of material are you trying to multicam with? How fast are your drives? They need to fast enoug to play all the angles at once.

They don’t know how to rename a file? Err… Why are they using Linux, then? Come to think of it, if they don’t know how to rename a file, how can they be expected to do anything else with it, like open it?
They may have to install the open source QT resources for Linux. Have them search for it on freashmeat.net. If they just want to play the file, they should be able to use the free VLC player, from videolan.org.
Of course, if they don’t know how to rename a file, how can they be expected to find, download or install QT libraries or VLC…
Oy! I’m going to start bleeding out of my ears if I keep thinking about this…
