It’s easy to make good footage look like it was shot on a big budget. It’s very hard to make crappy footage look big budget.
For some more exciting effects, take a look at FX Factory from Noise Industries, or Plasma FX from Digital Anarchy. Both have some fairly sexy stuff.

What do you mean by “air”? Wind? Pops from the letter ‘p’ or aspiration on the ‘h’? Echo? Reverb?

Sounds like it’s looking for audio render files that were not transferred to you. What happens if you open up the .stap files? Were these files flattened, or do they still have all the actions visible in them? Can you export them again?

Not just Red! SI2k, Dalsa, Vision, Infinity, EditCam, the list grows every year. The irony of “tapeless” acquisition is that you may ultimately have to back up to something like LTO tape.

Shake doesn’t seem to have this problem, either. This has long been a problem with AE, and it’s not limited to DVCPro codecs, either.
