Thanks for asking. See im not the most experienced DSLR shooter, but i have been shooting on film for 20 years & i have been using 5D & 7D for a year, i have used cinealta & Pansonic P2. So i can assure you the footage will be fine also i have good DOP working beside me.
Same goes for post; since i’ve been editing & grading in film for many years & i have good sense of how it works. i will be using magic bullet colorista & looks for this which i work quite well. So im not concerned about getting good footage & edit-grade. I am concerned about the output result as i will be working with my own setup this time (since it’s a low budget feature i cant effort professional post production facility, im spending most funds to production).
I have a macbookpro 4.1 (2.5 GHz (T9400) Intel Core 2 Duo), 4gb DDR3 ram with Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT graphics card in it. I also have opportunity to work on a Intel Xeon quad core series desktop pc, for that im asking what can i do to ensure the footage im editing & grading will not give a false result (LED display in that case). Now if you kindly suggest me what more i can do to achieve accurate result of my work, should i get a broadcast monitor for post.
I live in Bangladesh & our television network uses DVB for broadcast.
I really appreciate your suggestion in this matter.
Thanks once again
