I have some knowledge in Photo stills, and whenever I use the Z1 I try to apply my knowledge as if I was taking a photo, such as compositions light etc. Off course hdv is another story.
But I`ll track down those books….

do you mean that for as long as i work and do color until i`ll have the dvd I won`t be able to see it in real time? no prob
and the settings in the timeline they have to respect the original format? changing only compressor to dvcpro hd?

I apologise for my question, it was not detailed enough. Can you suggest some reading material such as manual or guidlines to take into consideration… I have some projects to be shot on a SONY Z1 So I`d like to do it the best possible for that type of cam.

My first attempt was to export from FCP a HDV timeline to compressor and the result was gr8 in regards definition, as stated b4 the light on the dvd was doubled to say the least….. I`m sure that I`ll try also yor suggestion.

I`m back and grazing, ha ha! I`m just about to go ahead and start with the skin tones again… Can I check with you before I export to compressor…. Just to make sure my settings are right. As Walter said in regards exporting from FCP to compressor, I believe to do the same thing, such as right click and highlight the sentence and export to comp….. as simple as that.
Anyway I better have a couple of cups of coffe it`ll be a long night
I just like to master the way to produce a workflow from editing hdv to output to sd dvd, I have to say that I do love to cc as much …
