Can set a new timeline in dvcpro hd as follows?
I`ll use the same project i`m working on hdv(curious about the format)
Can I leave all the settings related to frame size / pixel aspect ratio same as they are in hdv.. and change only compressor to DVCPRO HD 1080i50? Output will be sd dvd if i`ll evr mange to finish ! ha ha

    Thank you
    ciao

You will have to render the entire timeline so as long as you don’t mind losing all realtime playback, it should work.

    Walter txs
do you mean that for as long as i work and do color until i`ll have the dvd I won`t be able to see it in real time? no prob
and the settings in the timeline they have to respect the original format? changing only compressor to dvcpro hd?
    txs

I have never tried this experiment so I assume that as long as the pixel aspect / frame sizes match exactly to DVCPro HD, then only changing the compressor to DVCPro HD should work. But I’ve never done this, we transcode to DVCPro HD in realtime during capture of HDV material.
