Are you using the same card over and over or did you buy a new one to see if it has the same issue.
Try a different card reader.

Click on triangle of a clip under Video Usage or Audio usage.
A dropdown menu will navigata to the clip on the timeline.

You can also do this from the little Preview Area of the Project Window.

Dont export with Match sequence settings.
You are exporting with a preview codec which is of lower quality.
Max render quality is only usefull if you do not have a supported GPU.
What is your final product going to be? I am not a big fan of mpeg.

For dvd put everything in a 1920×1080 sequence and export to mpeg2-dvd.

I would finish the project in CC7 and start fresh in CC14.
Your presets: you have to export them from CC7 and import them in CC14

The VG1 microphone is not an onboard mic. its external connected with xlr.
You might have set up your camera the wrong way.
Did you use earphones while recording?
